We feel so blessed to have such wonderful people, Tom and Cherie and children, in our lives! How special too, to have them spend almost a whole week with us just recently. The minute they arrived at our home, the air was filled with energy. Four boys! Noah immediately found some balloons and played tirelessly with them. He was so busy, all the time, just in to everything, chatting incessantly. It was difficult to cuddle him because he was on the go go.
One day we took a walk to the creek to catch some polywogs. We had to cross an old railroad style bridge that was about 15 feet off the ground. Noah was in a hurry to catch up with his older brothers and ran ahead of us to cross the bridge. He gave us a fright when we saw hime headed for the bridge, but he was quick to stop when we called after him. Once down at the creek, he walked the banks, threw stones in the water, and emtied all the polywogs out of the jars as soon as his brothers filled them up.
Uncle Tony gave Noah rides on the lawn tractor. He grabbed for the steering wheel as soon as he got on and laughed and giggled the whole time. They got called in for breakfast but he didn't want to stop. As soon as breakfast was over, he tugged on Uncle Tony's pant leg and pointed out the window to the tractor for "more."
Noah found his way into Emily's bedroom. He cleared off her night stand, handing her all of its articles, saying "dee dough" (here you go). Then he would run into her mirrored closet doors. She still has his little hand prints.
The time went by so fast, but those precious memories will be always fresh in our minds and very, very dear to our hearts.
